Fig Old Fashioned

This Fig Old Fashioned is a twist on the classic bourbon cocktail. A fruit flavor in a strong alcoholic drink, perfect for fall, Christmas, Thanksgiving, and the holiday season.

Ingredients
  

  • 2 ounces bourbon
  • 1 Tablespoon fig preserves
  • 2 dashes bitters
  • orange peel
  • fresh fig half for garnish, optional

Instructions
 

  • Put ice in a glass.
  • Add the bourbon, fig preserves, and bitters.
  • Mix well until the fig preserves are broken up and incorporated into the bourbon.
  • Rub the orange peel around the rim of the glass and drop inside the drink. Add a half of a fresh fig, if desired.
