Equipment

Ingredients
  

  • 1 ½ ounces gin
  • 4 ounces tonic water
  • 1 grapefruit wedge
  • 1 fresh rosemary sprig
  • 5 juniper berries

Instructions
 

  • Fill your glass with ice.
  • Add your gin to the glass over the ice, followed by the tonic.
  • Add your grapefruit wedge, rosemary, and juniper berries. Stir to combine and serve.

Notes

The classic G&T ratio is 1 part gin to 3 parts tonic. You can make the drink as large as you like with this ratio, or adjust either one up or down for the strength you prefer.
For the garnished, you only need a small wedge of grapefruit, a small sprig of rosemary, and a few juniper berries. But you can be flexible with exactly how much of each you use. 
Want to really enhance the botanical flavors? Add the gin, rosemary, grapefruit, and juniper berries to a cocktail shaker and shake before adding to the glass and topping with tonic. This movement will infuse more of the flavors into the gin.
