Small Pot
Measuring Cups
2 ounce plastic cups
- 1 cup vodka or clear alcohol of choice
- 6 ounces lime Jello
- 1 ½ cups water
- 24 gummy body parts
Measure ½ cup of water and ½ cup of vodka and place in freezer to chill (or place in refrigerator if chilling in advance).
Bring over 1 cup of water to a boil in a small pot over high heat. (Use over 1 cup as some will evaporate and you need 1 cup when hot).
Once hot, measure out 1 cup of the hot water. Discard the rest.
Combine the hot water and Jello and stir to combine, until dissolved. Approximately 2-3 minutes.
Add the cold water and vodka mixture to the Jello.
Line your small plastic cups on a baking sheet. Pour the Jello mixture into each cup about 3/4 full.
Chill until starting to set, about 30-45 minutes.
When the Jello is just starting to thicken, add one gummy body part to each cup in the angle you prefer.
Continue chilling to fully set, approximately 1.5 hours longer.
Add the lids on top if desired and chill until ready to serve. Jello shots are best within a day but last up to one week.
The classic 2 ounce plastic cups are perfect for this recipe!
This could also be made in one giant slab in a baking dish instead if preferred. Then cut or scoop to serve.
Easily make non-alcoholic by replacing all vodka with more water.
Check your packages! Some brands or varieties call for different amounts of liquid. If your Jello says "2 cups cold water" for after boiling, you are good. Otherwise, you are going to follow your package directions and replace half of the cold liquid with liquor.
