CranApple Codder

This a perfect cocktail for a warmer fall day out on the porch. Putting a nice twist on the Cape Cod by adding apple flavor to sweeten and cut that strong cranberry tartness.

FAQ

Can I serve it straight up?

Traditionally it is served on the rocks but you can strain it into a separate glass if you’d prefer.

What type of Vodka should I use?

I would suggest a non flavored vodka unless it is apple or cranberry. I wouldn’t use a nice vodka as the other ingredients shine more then the liquor.

Can I shake this instead of stir?

You can if you’d like but the standard is to stir.

Why is vodka cranberry called Cape Cod?
Why is it called Cape Cod drink?

Variations

This is a cocktail that the juices shine. You can swap in a Apple or Cinnamon liqueur instead of the cranberry if you want a little more of that apple sweet flavor. You can also splash in flavored vodka’s and I’d highly recommend a Cinnamon to bring in a bit of spice and even more fall flavor.
