Why You Will Love This Recipe
I just love how beautiful this cocktail is with a soft red color.
Garnish it with some floating fresh cranberries and pear slices for a beautiful effect that also nods at the flavors in the drink.
Ingredients
You can find more details and instructions in the full recipe card below.
For this fall cocktail recipe, you will need:
Pear Vodka – this is what will give you the pear flavor! Without the flavored vodka, you are really just going to taste cranberry
Cranberry Juice
Orange Juice
Simple Syrup – you can skip if you want but even us non-sweet drink lovers thought just a touch of simple syrup elevated the drink
Bitters – Using bitters does not make the drink taste bitter. Rather, it brings a great depth of flavor and balance to the drink.
Club Soda – just a splash for a little bubbles and lightness to balance the fruit flavors
How to Make Simple Syrup
Simple syrup is very easy to make!
Simply bring 1/2 cup sugar and 1/2 cup water to a simmer over medium heat until the sugar is dissolved. Let it cool down before using.
You can also amp up flavors for this drink by using a Cranberry Simple Syrup or Cinnamon Simple Syrup!
FAQs
If you use regular plain vodka, you will lose the pear flavor.
Bitters adds a depth and complexity to the cocktail. It does not make the entire drink taste bitter.
