Let’s talk about the simple ingredients from your local grocery store that you need to make this homemade peach tea!
Peaches – I like to use fresh peaches, but frozen also works! Ripe peaches will give you the best flavor.
Green Tea Bags – any type you like will work great! It would also taste great with white tea!
Sugar – for the peach syrup. You can adjust the amount of sugar based on how sweet or not you want the tea to be.

Instruction Overview
First we need to make a peach syrup which is going to sweeten our tea and give us that fresh peach flavor!
If using fresh peaches, peel them and remove the pits. Then chop them up.
Peeling the real peaches is optional. You can leave them on which does not affect the flavor (if anything – it might make the peach flavor stronger!) but it does make the peach syrup a darker pink color. Up to you!
If using frozen peaches, let them thaw and drain.
Add the peach slices or pieces with sugar and water to a medium pot.
Heat on medium heat and bring to a boil. Let boil for 2 minutes and then let the peaches sit in the syrup for 1.5-2 hours to infuse their flavor.
Strain the syrup and set aside. (You could also choose to leave the peach chunks in the syrup to add to the tea if you want them floating around in drinks!).
Make the green tea by bringing water to a boil in a large pot.
When boiling, add the tea bags. Turn off the heat. Let steep as per package directions, 1-3 minutes.
Remove the tea bags from the tea.
Add the peach syrup to the green tea and mix to combine.
Chill in a large pitcher until ready to serve!
Garnish the refreshing iced peach tea with peach slices or fresh mint sprigs if desired. And serve it up on a hot summer day!
